URL Signing Recommended
We strongly recommend signing your URLs when using this feature. Without signing, anyone can apply AI edit transformations to your images using your source, which may result in unexpected usage and charges.
The ai-image-edit parameter applies AI-powered edits to an image using one of 36 named operation values. Operations are organized into five categories: product and e-commerce, real estate and property, automotive, general relighting, and seasonal.
AI Image Edit is credit-metered. Credits are consumed per request based on output image dimensions:

Prepass Analysis Gate
When ai-image-edit-analysis is enabled, a lightweight vision call runs before the main edit to determine whether the edit is necessary for this particular image. If the prepass returns should_edit=false, the original image is served unmodified and a skip_reason is logged. This avoids consuming full edit credits on images that would not benefit from the operation. Analysis is on by default for packaging and off for all other values.

All redecorate-<style> values share the same underlying template. Architecture, camera angle, and window views remain fixed — only palette, materials, and furniture change between styles.

Seasonal operations change foliage, ground cover, sky, and ambient light to match the target season; composition, objects, signage, and time of day are left unchanged. Seasonal operations cannot currently be combined with General Relighting operations (lighting, night, day, golden-hour, blue-hour) in the same request.
