Gradient Color Space
gradient-cs
The gradient-cs parameter sets the color space the gradient colors are interpolated in. It takes the same values as fill-gradient-cs — srgb, linear, oklab, oklch, lch, hsl and hsv — and defaults to srgb.
For a scrim fading from transparent to black the choice makes almost no difference. It matters when the two colors are far apart in hue: srgb runs straight through the muddy middle, while oklab and oklch keep the midpoint as bright as the ends.
An unrecognized value falls back to srgb. gradient-cs is not read when gradient-mask is on.
