Drop Shadow X Offset
drop-shadow-x
The drop-shadow-x parameter offsets the shadow along the x axis. It defaults to 0, and a positive value moves the shadow right.
A whole number is pixels, multiplied by dpr. A decimal between -1.0 and 1.0 is a fraction of the image’s width instead, so the offset holds its proportion at every output size.
Which shadow types read it depends on drop-shadow-type:
flatandinsetread bothdrop-shadow-xanddrop-shadow-y.floatreads onlydrop-shadow-y, as the size of the gap under the subject.castreads neither — its shadow is positioned by the light, throughdrop-shadow-azimuthanddrop-shadow-elevation.
The offset also changes how far the canvas grows on each side.
