Hue Set
hue-set
The hue-set parameter gives every pixel in the image the same hue, while keeping each pixel’s own saturation and brightness. The result is a single-color version of the image that still reads as a photograph, unlike duotone, which replaces the tonal range with a two-color gradient.
The value is an angle on the sRGB hue wheel, the same wheel CSS uses: 0 is red, 120 is green and 240 is blue. Values wrap, so -30 is the same as 330.
hue-set=0 is red, not a no-op. This differs from hue, where 0 leaves the image unchanged. hue rotates each pixel’s existing hue by an offset; hue-set replaces it outright. When hue-set is present, hue is ignored.
Non-numeric values are ignored and left out of the X-Imgix-Params response header.
Unlike hue, a value of 0 is not a no-op.
Fully desaturated pixels have no hue to replace, so grays, whites and blacks are unchanged. An image that is already monochrome will not pick up the color.
