Append Align
append-align
The append-align parameter lines up an append image along the edge it sits against. It only matters when the two images differ in size along that edge; otherwise there is nothing to align.
Accepted Values
Which values are accepted depends on append-side. A left or right append aligns the two images vertically:
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
top | Lines the shorter image up with the top of the taller one |
middle | Centers the shorter image on the shared edge — the default |
bottom | Lines the shorter image up with the bottom of the taller one |
A top or bottom append aligns them horizontally:
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
left | Lines the narrower image up with the left of the wider one |
center | Centers the narrower image on the shared edge — the default |
right | Lines the narrower image up with the right of the wider one |
Passing a value from the wrong set — append-side=bottom&append-align=top — leaves the append centered.
Examples
The demos below append a 300 px wide logo to a 600 px wide photo, so the logo is the image being moved.
