PiP Chroma Key Feather

Softens the edge of the chroma key region when removing a background from a picture-in-picture overlay, producing a smoother blend between the subject and the base video.

video-mark-chromakey-feather accepts a numeric value from 0 to 1. Higher values produce a wider, softer transition zone at the boundary of the keyed area. A value of 0 produces a hard edge. The default value is 0.05.

Feathering is applied after the threshold calculation, so increasing the feather value does not expand which colors are removed — it only affects the softness of the edge. Requires video-mark-chromakey to be set.

Use video-mark-chromakey-feather[N] to target a specific indexed overlay layer.
