Fill Image Motion Amount
fill-image-motion-amount
Controls the intensity of the fill-image-motion effect — how far the zoom or pan travels over the duration of the clip.
fill-image-motion-amount accepts a float between 0.05 and 1.0. The default is 0.2.
How amount affects zoom vs. pan
For zoom motions, the amount sets the end scale: a value of 0.2 means the image moves from 1.0× to 1.2× (or the reverse for zoomout). For pan motions, the image is held at 1 + amount zoom to create the travel room, and the amount determines how far the frame glides across it.
| Range | Feel |
|---|---|
0.05–0.15 | Subtle drift, barely perceptible |
0.1–0.2 | Tasteful, cinematic (default range) |
0.2–0.35 | Noticeable, clear sense of movement |
0.4+ | Dramatic, strong motion |
Deep zooms (0.4+) magnify a shrinking region of the source image. A small source will soften as the zoom deepens — for the best result, supply a background image at least as large as your output canvas, ideally larger.
