Reflection Bounds
reflection-bounds
The reflection-bounds parameter chooses whether the output grows to hold the reflection. It takes expand or clip and defaults to expand.
expand adds the reflection’s full length below the picture, so the output is taller than the size you asked for. clip keeps the original output size and ends the fade wherever the existing edge falls.
clip on an opaque photograph shows nothing. There is no empty space below the subject for a reflection to occupy, so the reflection is drawn entirely outside the kept bounds and clipped away. Use it with a cut-out, or add pad-bottom to make room.
An unknown word falls back to expand and is left out of the X-Imgix-Params response header. There is no mark-reflection-bounds.
