Audio Mark Volume
audio-mark-volume
Sets the per-layer gain multiplier for an audio overlay.
audio-mark-volume accepts a float from 0.0 to 10.0. The default is 1.0 (unity gain — the overlay plays at its original level).
| Value | Effect |
|---|---|
0.0 | Silent |
0.3 – 0.5 | Music bed under dialogue |
1.0 | Original volume (default) |
2.0 | Double the overlay volume |
10.0 | Maximum amplification |
Use audio-mark-volume to balance a music bed at a lower level than the original dialogue, or to bring a quiet voiceover up to full level. Each layer takes its own [N] suffix: audio-mark-volume[1]=0.8.
When video-audio-norm is also set, EBU R128 normalization measures and levels the post-mix combined track — the base, music, and voiceover together — after per-layer gain is applied.
