Video VFX Bloom
video-vfx-bloom
Adds a soft glow that bleeds out of bright highlights, preserving the light source’s own color.
video-vfx-bloom accepts an integer from 0 to 100. 0 is off (default). Higher values produce a wider, brighter glow. Out-of-range or non-numeric values are coerced to 0 rather than rejected.

The glow is source-color preserving — a white light casts a white halo, a warm light casts a warm halo, so the effect never globally tints the frame. The screen-blend keeps the internal detail of bright sources (window panes, light fixtures) instead of clipping them to white.
Bloom is extracted from bright highlights and screened back, so it only shows on content with pronounced bright regions. Flat, even-lit footage will show little effect.
The compose order is chromatic aberration → film grain → bloom → halation → vignette.
