URL Signing Recommended
We strongly recommend signing your URLs when using this feature. Without signing, anyone can apply AI edit transformations to your images using your source, which may result in unexpected usage and charges.
The ai-image-edit-seed parameter accepts an integer value that controls which variation of an ai-image-edit operation is generated. By default, each request produces a non-deterministic result. Providing a seed makes the output reproducible — the same source image, operation, and seed will consistently produce the same result.
To explore alternative variations, change the seed value. Incrementing by 1 is a simple way to iterate through different outputs. The seed has no effect unless ai-image-edit is also set.
Examples
The examples below show two different seed values applied to the same image and operation. Each seed produces a distinct but reproducible result.
