Arc
arc
The arc parameter bends an image along a curve, wrapping it around an invisible circle. Use it to curve a label around a bottle or a jar, or to set type on an arc.
Syntax
arc takes an angle in degrees, where 0 < |arc| ≤ 360. The sign sets which way the image bends:
- A positive value bends it like a frown, curving the middle upward.
- A negative value bends it like a smile, curving the middle downward.
arc=360wraps the image into a full disc.
The output’s aspect ratio changes to hold the curved shape, so a bent image is not the same proportions as the original.
arc=0 and any magnitude above 360 are ignored.
Layer Forms
mark-arc and blend-arc bend a layer before it is placed on the base image, and both accept indexed spellings such as mark-arc[1]. Curving a watermark onto a product is the usual reason to reach for this:

arc cannot be applied to a txt layer. To set type on a curve, render the text as an image with the typesetting endpoint and bring it in as a watermark with mark-arc.
