Activating Imgix Video
Set fm to a video output format — mp4, hls, or dash — for Imgix Video parameters to take effect.
Imgix Video can burn a playback-progress indicator straight into the rendered pixels — a sliding fill bar or a perimeter border that shows how far through the clip the viewer is. It renders on the GPU, per request, from a single URL parameter, so a muted autoplay clip, a GIF preview, or an embed with no player chrome still communicates position and length.
Use video-progress-bar to enable the indicator and choose its style (bar or frame). Customize it with video-progress-bar-color, video-progress-bar-height, and video-progress-bar-align.
The bar fills over the output duration — after any trims and speed changes — so it always reaches 100% precisely at the end of what you render. On single-image stills, the indicator is frozen at the fraction t / duration where t is the video-thumbnail seek time.
The progress bar is the topmost layer in the composite — it renders above watermarks, picture-in-picture, burned-in captions, and audio waveforms.
