Caption Font

Sets the font family for burn-in captions.

video-caption-font accepts a font family name as a string. The specified font is used to render all caption text burned into the video frames. It defaults to Helvetica.

It accepts the same names as the Video API’s txt-font parameter. Search those typefaces below — each result previews the face, with non-Latin writing systems shown as a specimen in their own script. A few faces cannot be previewed and are labelled instead; they still work on video.

The Video API and the Rendering API maintain separate font sets, so this is the list to check rather than assuming a name carries over. Both lists sit side by side on the Supported Fonts reference page.

Captions always render in the family’s Bold face.
